Enjoy the Magic of the Enchanted Christmas Garden in Abilene
A Personal Connection to Abilene’s Festive Traditions
Over the years, my wife and I have loved strolling through the streets of downtown Abilene and participating in many of the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council’s events. It’s especially meaningful now that Abilene has earned the title of “Storybook Capital of the World,” with its downtown transformed into an incredible dining and entertainment area for both children and adults. When I first heard that this year’s Christmas in the Garden would feature a local author with a wonderful new book, my immediate question was, “Where can I get tickets?” This is sure to be a fun event!
Experience an Out-of-This-World Christmas in the Garden
Join us for a night that's out of this world with Santa and his new Martian friends at the annual Christmas in the Garden in downtown Abilene, as seen in the video below. This much-anticipated event will be held at the whimsical Adamson-Spalding Storybook Garden, located on the grounds of the Abilene Convention Center. Attendees are encouraged to enter the garden from the north side for easy access.
Pajamas, Crafts, and Fun for the Whole Family
Dress in your favorite pajamas and come ready to enjoy an evening full of holiday cheer. The event will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including games, crafts, and delicious light refreshments. This year’s inspiration comes from local author Penny-Parker Klostermanns' brand-new book, Merry Christmas, Dear Mars, published by Henry Holt and Company.
Special Reading by Author Penny Parker Klostermann
A highlight of the evening will be Penny Parker Klostermann herself, reading her festive new book aloud to attendees. Her storytelling session will add a unique and magical touch to the event, perfect for inspiring holiday excitement. Families can also look forward to a visit from Santa Claus and heartwarming holiday music to complete the experience.
