A History of Crime and Evasion

Sgt. Marc Couch, Public Information Officer for the Texas DPS, confirms that Morales has been in and out of confinement since 2000, yet remains a serious public safety threat. His criminal record includes:

  • 2000 - Convicted of burglary and sentenced to six months in confinement.
  • 2018 - Convicted of evading arrest and multiple counts of indecency with a child involving three young victims. He was sentenced to seven years per offense but served them concurrently.
  • 2024 - Released from a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) facility and has been on the run ever since.
  • Authorities fear he may re-offend if not captured soon.

Who Is Carlos Jose Ayala Morales?

He's 43 years old, 5-foot 10-inches tall, and weighs about 250 lbs. He has tattoos on his stomach, his back, his right hand, and both of his arms. The last place he was known to be was Houston.
