As a proud Texan, I deeply appreciate the hardworking folks across our great state. Each job carries challenges, from the bustling cities to the sprawling ranches. Among these, some professions rank particularly high on the stress scale.

Let's face it, no matter if you're flipping burgers or performing major surgery, there is a level of stress to just about any job. I know that my job in media can have some very stressful moments with deadlines, meetings, and other tasks on my daily plate.

However, I don't think my stress level can compare to what some folks do every day which many of us may take for granted. These folks perform surgeries, save lives, risk their own lives, and perform their duties in unfathomable situations.

Each of these roles involves unique challenges that require a ton of dedication and resilience. As I sit behind the mic doing my thing on The Afternoon Buzz, I have a deep respect for those who brave the frontlines every day, reminding me that while writing that next article or talking on the mic is important, there are many others out there doing the heavy lifting, often under far more stressful conditions than I could ever imagine.
