Texas, The Biggest Taco Record Is Up For Grabs
I refuse to sit still while Texas does not hold the record for the biggest taco. Not only does Texas not have the record, the United States does not have the record. This is a travesty that must be corrected.
Texas pride has taken a beating lately. I offer up a chance to step up on that center block and receive our laurels as the makers of the world's largest taco.
I tend to think of burritos as having beans or rice in them and tacos being mostly meat. I'm well aware that I'm wrong, that's just my general thoughts. Also burritos tend to be bigger than tacos, but when we're going for a world record, again all rules will go out the window.
The current record for the largest taco goes to a place in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. As originators of tacos, I can't be too mad about it, but in Texas we do like things bigger.
Picture a 40-foot taco that’s bursting with flavor and pride; could Texas whip one up?
The current record-holding taco was almost 40 feet long and 34 feet wide. It was stuffed with steak, onion, and coriander and served with guacamole. Personally, I'm impressed that they not only made the worlds biggest taco, they took time to make it delicious too.

So how do we beat this? Well first we have to find a place that can cook a giant tortilla for us. A 40-foot tortilla is insanely large and I'm not sure where we'd get grill/griddle space to do that. Filling it would actually be the easy and fun part.
So how about it Texas, do you know anyone with a really large oven, or sheet of metal that we can heat up to cook a tortilla on? If so, we could hold the record for the World's Largest Taco!
