Located just north of Austin, Texas is Georgetown. That town is getting ready to complete a portion of their Wolf Ranch community called the "Genesis Collection". These 100 homes on Wolf Ranch are unique in that they're 3D printed. Basically a mixture of concrete powder, water, sand and other additives are mixed together and placed into a special 3D printer. Once the layout is decided on your house. The 3D printer will literally design the walls of your residence.

About a year ago, a company called Icon showed off their unique homes being built right here in Texas. The Wolf Ranch 3D printed homes are almost 100 percent complete at this point and are nearly sold out. Residents have moved into the properties and seem to love them.

As you can see above, the house looks like any normal home once finished and according to folks that actually live in these. They say it actually stays a lot cooler in the summer than a traditional brick home that they have lived in before. The biggest complaint with these homes though, wifi internet. According to residents that like to spend some time in their backyard, the wifi has trouble reaching them. This is due to the fact that all the walls in the residence are thick layers of concrete. So if you think about moving here, be prepared to invest in wifi extenders throughout the house.
How Much Does a 3D Printed Home in Texas Cost?
From what I see on the Wolf Ranch website, the cheapest option starts at $399,990. While the most expensive is $499,940. Obviously with any house you buy, the more bedrooms you have, the more expensive it gets. If you want to check out more on this 3D printed neighborhood, you can check it out here.
