If you’re wondering why my anxiety level goes through the roof when I drive in Dallas-Fort Worth, here’s why.

People like the driver in the link below should have their licenses revoked. Seriously, if you don’t know better than to come to a complete stop on an interstate off-ramp, you have no business driving.

You should never do that on any freeway, especially not in the Metroplex, where traffic typically moves at a pace of about 10 miles per hour over the speed limit. The driver is lucky they didn’t cause a multi-vehicle pileup.

Hell, they’re lucky the wreck wasn’t worse than it was. It’s a good thing the other driver wasn’t distracted. Otherwise, things could have ended tragically.

I realize missing an exit Dallas is a real pain in the ass. It’s one of those cities in which it’s not typically as easy as simply taking the next exit and circling back. The roads there can be very confusing for those who aren’t familiar with them.

That said, there’s no excuse for risking your life and the lives of others when you realize you’re about to miss your exit. Just bite the bullet and take the next one. The navigation app on your phone will get you back on track.
