A rideshare rider in North Texas was able to escape a group of guys chasing him thanks to his driver.

The guy was a little dinged up in the brawl, but it could have been so much worse. He owes that driver big time.

Plenty of other drivers would have chosen not to get involved and sped away from the scene the moment they saw what was going on. And truth be told, I wouldn’t blame them for it. That’s a good way to set a target on your own back.

But I commend the guy for saving the rider. It took a lot of guts to do what he did. Hopefully, it doesn’t backfire on him.

I have to admit that I have never had any desire to be a rideshare driver. I know a couple of people who have done it and hearing about some of their bad experiences was enough for me.

That said, neither of them ever had to rescue a guy who was being jumped.
