Watch: Hair Pulling and Fists Flying at the State Fair of Texas

Multiple fights broke out at the State Fair of Texas last Saturday night (October 19). 

It seems like you can’t go to any sort of large gathering without a fight breaking out these days. I realize it’s always been that way to an extent, it’s just that smartphones have made it so the whole world gets to witness the chaos.

But isn’t it funny how the first thing people do when chaos erupts is to break out their phones and start filming? To hell with calling for help, it’s all about the likes and shares on social media. 

I say that, but here I am sharing the video. One thing I’ve learned in this business is that people love mayhem – especially if they can watch from a safe distance, without having to worry about getting sucked into it. 

Anyway, Saturday night’s festivities feature a couple of groups of “ladies” throwing down near the concession stand. It’s not clear why they were fighting. Maybe they’ve been beefing for a while or maybe someone cut in line.  

Those of us who weren’t involved in the fisticuffs may never know why they were fighting. But what I do know is that I’m too old for that stuff. I just want to eat a corny dog in peace.
