Texas Woman Lights Home On Fire After Arguing With Boyfriend
An outrageous Texas woman is behind bars after setting her boyfriend's home on fire during an argument.
A HOME ENGULFED IN FLAMES
31-year-old Stefanie Berrones was seen arguing with her boyfriend at his home in February. After the argument, Berrones was seen leaving and returning to the house multiple times.
As Berrones was seen leaving for the final time, flames could be seen burning out the windows. Emergency services were quickly called out to the home and when they arrived they began investigating the scene and soon made an interesting discovery.
After reconstructing the fire scene, officials were able to trace the start of the fire to the living room, which had significant charring. They were also able to determine that the fire was deliberately started.
A SECOND FIRE ERUPTS FROM THE HOME
Emergency responders were called out to the home again just weeks later after another fire ignited. Like the last time, the fire was started in the living room area.
There were also patterns of the fire leading up to the attic and nearby rooms. An incriminating lighter was also discovered which led authorities to believe the fire was another deliberate fire.
CAUGHT ON CAMERA
The homeowner's girlfriend, Stefanie Berrones was caught on camera leaving the home right before smoke began to protrude out of the property. Investigators revealed that Berrones had threatened to "burn the house" during a verbal fight with her boyfriend.
“This incident marks the second occurrence of a fire at this residence, with Stefanie Berrones being identified as the suspect in the previous fire incident,” the affidavit states.
Berrones was charged with 2counts of arson, a second-degree felony.
