MSN just released their list of the top 10 most secluded towns in west Texas and many are near El Paso. Problem is, some of them aren't towns - and one's NOT in Texas.

MSN must have let an intern research this one ... either that or they have too much faith in AI ... because 3 of these towns, aren't "towns".

Fabens and Clint are both so close to us that they may as well be considered El Paso. They made the list as did a couple of other places near the 915 but some aren't really towns. Oh, and one "non-town" is in New Mexico.

The Top 10 Secluded Towns In Texas was posted by MSN, a website that provides accurate, (sometimes), news, sports, weather and feature articles. Whoever did the research for this one must be new.

The 10 Secluded West Texas Towns listed

Seems like a nice list ... except for #'s 6, 5 and 4. They're not towns and #5 is not only, not a town - it's in New Mexico. 7 out of 10; good job MSN.

Newman, Texas WAS a town, for minute anyway, between the 1920's and the early 1970's. It has since been annexed by El Paso and is home to a cool, dive bar, a mobile home, (that I think is empty) and the Edge of Texas Steakhouse. Es todo.

(The) Anthony Gap is not a town, it's a highway, (NM 404 to be exact) that spans the 10 mile stretch between Chaparral, NM and Anthony, NM.

Hueco Tanks Village, if it really exists today, hasn't been a "village" since 1200 AD. There MAAAAAY be a few residents in the area but it's considered to be El Paso.

The Legendary Stories Behind These Six Weird Texas Town Names

It's no secret that Texas is home to some pretty strange town names. While the names of these places are strange enough on their own, sometimes the story behind the name is even stranger.
