3 Things Texas Does Not Have
Texas has got so much going for it, other states are mega jelly. I'll admit, Texas doesn't have everything ... and, in these 3 cases, we're happy about it.
Texas has anything and everything you could possibly want. A strong economy, lots of room to grow, plenty to see and do - the list goes on. You can experience just about any climate or setting you want and never leave Texas.
Even famous landmarks from other states and from around the world can be found here. It's not nice to brag all the time though so, fine - here are 5 things we don't have.
We are missing some things though but, for the most part, we're totally fine without 'em. Some, we're even thankful to NOT have.
First of all, and a good thing to not have, there is no state income tax in the lone star state. You earn it you keep it ... after, of course, you give Uncle Sam his cut. After that, Texas wants your money where it belongs; in your own pocket.
Long, grueling winters. Our winters are pretty mild and relatively short except for the Panhandle area. Even there, winter isn't as bad as it gets up in the north and northeast parts of the USA.
On that note, there are some things we don't have that I wish we could claim. The biggest one being, (fairly) predictable weather. Especially in spring.
Jeez, low 30's in the morning, then upper 90's for the afternoon along with torrential rains, followed by blinding sunshine with, maybe, a little snow ... and that's just today.
Good luck choosing your outfit for tomorrow.
