NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (AP) — A South Texas man has been accused of using a pellet gun to shoot two high school band students as they practiced outside on campus.

Police say 67-year-old William Henry Kloss lives near New Braunfels (BRAHN'-felz) High School, where two teenagers suffered minor injuries Tuesday.

Kloss was arrested Thursday on two counts of aggravated assault. Comal County jail records Friday did not list an attorney for Kloss, who's free on $25,000 bond.

New Braunfels police say band members were practicing when they heard popping sounds. Two students realized they were struck by what appeared to be pellets.

Police re-enacted the incident and determined the pellets likely came from along a block near the school. Kloss was arrested following a search of his home and the seizure of some items.
