Cellphone May Provide Clues In ATM Theft

HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police are trying to trace a cellphone allegedly dropped by one of several thieves who crashed a truck into a store and stole an ATM.  

Officials say the convenience store clerk escaped injury in the theft early Wednesday captured on security video.

The video shows several masked individuals at first moving an ice storage unit away from the front doors. A pickup truck being driven in reverse then smashes through the entryway.

The thieves are seen putting the ATM into the bed of the pickup truck, then driving away amid the store debris.
