FREEPORT, Texas (AP) — The Coast Guard has suspended the search for two fishermen last seen wading near the mouth of the Brazos River in the Freeport area.
Members of the volunteer group Texas EquuSearch planned to continue their search Monday.

The Coast Guard says a bystander on Saturday noticed the two men wading and then getting washed away. The Coast Guard used a helicopter and a boat in the search, which was suspended Sunday afternoon. Further details on the men weren't immediately released by the Coast Guard.

Freeport is 35 miles southwest of Galveston.
