Terence Steele played offensive line for Texas Tech during the tail-end of the Kliff Kingsbury Era and the beginning of the Matt Wells Era. A four-year starter from 2016-2019, Steele started in nearly 50 games for the Red Raiders while being on some units that produced pretty good offensively.

Following his career with Texas Tech, Terence Steele was picked up by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2020 season. Steele was immediately thrust into action after a rash of injuries forced him into the starting lineup. Throughout the season, with massive turnover all over the place on the Dallas Cowboys offensive personnel Steele only improved.

This offseason? Steele continued to improve.

Flash forward to 2021, Steele was the first tackle off of the bench when the Dallas Cowboys needed to replace their right tackle during a suspension. The Cowboys' offensive coordinator helped Steele's day by providing running backs and tight ends to alleviate the dominance of Chargers' defensive captain Joey Bosa, but Steele performed admirably even without the help, especially in the run game.

Here he is on Zeke Elliott's touchdown run.

The media took notice:

The media was impressed with Steele. I was impressed with Steele, who's vastly improved from a year ago at the NFL level. But we weren't the only ones. The most important man in Dallas, Jerry Jones, was equally impressed with Steele after his start against the Chargers.

Jones was on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Tuesday and said: "One of my heroes of the game was Steele, our right tackle. I just thought he was outstanding...He's been so consistent."

It's never a bad thing when the boss is giving you unsolicited positive feedback. Steele will likely be back at right tackle next week against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The same Eagles who just signed Steele's former teammate Jack Anderson off of the Buffalo Bills' practice squad.
