AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A suspect has been charged with murder in a New Year's Eve fatal shooting of another man outside a Central Texas hospital.
Travis County jail records show 32-year-old Jesus Rodriguez was being held Friday on $250,000 bond. Online jail records don't list an attorney for Rodriguez, who was arrested after Tuesday night's gunfire outside University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin.

Hospital security personnel reporting hearing an altercation between two men and gunshots. Authorities say 47-year-old Michael Charles Norwood died early Wednesday. Police are trying to determine if the men knew each other.

The Austin American-Statesman (http://bit.ly/1kfDKPa ) reports police documents indicate Rodriguez said he went to the hospital for back problems and a place to hide from people he thought were trying to kill him.

Hospital officials asked Rodriguez to leave.
