Enjoy Great Food While Supporting ESL at the Spirit Life Church
If you’re looking for a great lunch this weekend that also gives back to the community, I’ve got something worth your time and your appetite. The congregation at Spirit Life Church is hosting their annual ESL Class Brisket Sandwich Fundraiser on Saturday, April 25th, starting at 11 a.m. and running until they sell out. And knowing West Texans, that could happen fast.

For just $10, you’ll get a brisket sandwich, a bag of chips, and a drink, all to go. Simple, affordable, and let me tell you, it’s always fantastic.
Texas Community Helping Texas Neighbors
This fundraiser isn’t just about good food, it’s about helping people right here in Abilene. Donations from this event go toward supporting free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, along with bilingual Bibles, snacks, and classroom resources for students.
They also offer citizenship classes at no cost, which is a big deal for folks working hard to build a better life. Every dollar raised helps keep those opportunities available.
I’ve attended services there before, and I’ve got family who go every single week. It’s a church that truly walks the walk when it comes to serving others in our community.
Texas Brisket Done Right
The fundraiser will take place at Spirit Life Church, located at 1138 North 10th Street in Abilene. If you want to get ahead of the crowd, you can contact the church in advance to order your sandwiches.
And here’s my little secret, I like to grab a few extras, throw them in the freezer, and boom, lunch is ready for the next week. Warm it up, and you’re back in business.
Bottom line, don’t miss out on a great meal that supports a great cause. I’ll be there with my wife and daughters, enjoying some brisket, and I hope to see you there too.
