After the Cowboys' embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers, many fans, including myself, expected coach Mike McCarthy would be kicked to the curb. That is not the case and fans are losing their minds.

Really? After an embarrassing loss that saw a severely underprepared team get booted from the playoffs again, Jerry is not making a change? As a long-time Cowboys fan, I am ticked off. I'm tired of all of the high expectations every single year only to get heartbroken by a horrible performance from a team that has so much promise yet again.

It's a vicious cycle that we as Cowboys fans go through every year it seems. We get all amped up because we have some talent on the team, do fairly well in the season, and then completely fall apart at the end.

While Mike McCarthy has taken the Cowboys to 12-win seasons three years in a row, we continue to choke in the playoffs. And we're not simply losing to these teams, but we're getting blown out.

If McCarthy can't deliver a team that's won 12 games a season for three years in a row, what makes Jerry think "next year is our year"?

Of course, X (formerly Twitter) had jokes.

That's right, we are now the laughing stock of the NFL thanks to this insane move by Jerry Jones. Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh, and Pet Carrol are no longer with their teams, yet we are sticking with McCarthy. I just don't get it.

So as the NFL playoffs continue, Cowboys fans will be stuck once again watching less talented teams make a run while McCarthy prepares us for another season of mediocrity.

It's tough being a Cowboys fan.
