If you’ve been trying to get into the Plant but have no experience, this could be your chance! Dow just announced they’re accepting applications for their 2026 U.S. Apprenticeship Program.
If selected, expect the program to last around 2 to 3 years. During that time, apprentices will work in the Dow plant in Seadrift while earning an associate degree at Victoria College. You’re not paying tuition, and you’re not working for free; you earn wages the entire time, and your tuition is paid for.

Process Technician
This is hands-on plant work. Process techs help operate equipment, monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist with maintenance. It’s physical, shift-based work and very safety-focused. This is a good fit if you like mechanical work and being hands-on.

Laboratory Technician
This role focuses on testing and quality. Lab techs test samples, use lab equipment, calibrate instruments, and make sure products meet standards. It’s more detail-oriented and lab-based, but still very structured and safety-driven.

What Apprenticeship Comes With

  • Starting pay: at least $25.38 an hour
  • Paid tuition
  • Some benefits during the program
  • Start dates: June 8, 2026 (with some starting as late as August)
Finishing the program doesn’t guarantee a job, but graduates are strongly considered for full-time roles. Anyone hired full-time must agree to stay for two years.

Who This Is For

  • You must be 18 by mid-May
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College readiness is required (TSI, SAT, ACT, or equivalent)
  • If you’re already in college, you need at least 30 credit hours remaining since the apprenticeship requires a minimum of two semesters
If this sounds like something you’ve been waiting for, update your resume and apply.
