One Dead Following Apartment Shooting

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Police are seeking at least five suspects after an argument and gunfire at a Southeast Texas apartment left one man dead.  

Beaumont police are trying to determine what prompted Monday night's slaying.

Officers responding to a report of a possible shooting found 28-year-old Chad Slaughter dead at the residence. Police are trying to determine whether the suspects knew Slaughter.

An autopsy has been ordered.
