City offices will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Garbage will not be collected and the landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Trash for affected residential customers will be picked up the following Saturday – Dec. 28 and Jan. 4. Trash for affected commercial customers will be picked up either a day early or the day after each holiday. The Republic Services offices will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 24.

City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. the day after each holiday – on Thursday, Dec. 26, and on Thursday, Jan. 2.

Fort Concho and its visitors center will be open for limited service and self-guided tours from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Dec. 31. The fort will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1.

The San Angelo Nature Center, will host a New Year’s Eve slumber party for children from 8 p.m. Dec. 31 to 8 a.m. Jan. 1. The youngsters will play games, make crafts, watch movies, and interact with and learn about the Nature Center animals. Participants, who must be at least 5 years old, will need a sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas and any other sleepover supplies. An evening snack and a light breakfast will be provided.
