Friday, May 6, 2016 at 3:00 pm, the San Angelo Police Department will conduct a promotion ceremony for Officer Rick Tinsley, Officer Ben Spencer, Officer Antoine Callum, and Officer Brian Gesch to the rank of Sergeant.

Immediately following the promotion ceremony, two former San Angelo PD Officers, Dakota Martin and Louis Cortinas, have returned to the Department and will be sworn in as Officers.  The ceremonies will be held at the McNease Convention Center, located at 500 Rio Concho Drive, in the City Council Chambers.

Officer Rick Tinsley joined the San Angelo Police Department on March 1, 1999.  Officer Tinsley has worked as a Patrol Officer, a Detective in the Criminal Investigation Division and the Special Operations Section, and Community Services.  Officer Tinsley was made an Acting Patrol Sergeant on February 1, 2016.  Officer Tinsley has a total of 5,643 training hours and holds a Master Peace Officer License.

Officer Ben Spencer joined the San Angelo Police Department on April 16, 2009.  Officer Spencer has worked as a Patrol Officer since completing the Basic Peace Officer Academy.  Officer Spencer was made an Acting Patrol Sergeant on February 7, 2016.  Officer Spencer has 1,799 training hours and holds a Basic Peace Officer License.

Officer Antoine Callum joined the San Angelo Police Department on October 10, 2008.  Officer Callum has worked as a Patrol Officer and a Detective in the Criminal Investigation Division and the Special Operations Section.  Officer Callum was made an Acting Patrol Sergeant on April 3, 2016.  Officer Callum has 4,416 training hours and holds an Intermediate Peace Officer License.

Officer Brian Gesch joined the San Angelo Police Department on April 16, 2004.  Officer Gesch has worked as a Patrol Officer, in the Lake Patrol Division, the K-9 Division, and is a member of the SWAT team.  Officer Gesch was made an Acting Patrol Sergeant on April 11, 2016.  Officer Gesch has 3,487 hours of training and holds a Master Peace Officer License.
