San Angelo, Ready To Get Rid Of Some Stuff? Here’s How
Next Saturday, June 11th the City of San Angelo is hosting a household hazardous waste disposal event and Eco-fair.
This special event is being held in conjunction with Keep San Angelo Beautiful and one of the great things about it is that you can drop off pretty much all of those things you've been wanting to get rid of for FREE from 7 am until 10:30 am at the San Angelo Colliseum located at 50 E. 43rd St..
There will also be an Eco-fair going on at the same time and actually extending their time until noon with various food vendors and more. There will be numerous drawings for great prizes including new bicycles. Tote bags and T-shirts will be passed out.
Some of the things you can drop off include: Electronics (no TVs or CRT monitors), Aerosol cans, Solvents, Brake and transmission fluids, Pesticides, Herbicides, Antifreeze, Fertilizers, Lightbulbs and many more items. You can even have Documents shredded (up to 4 boxes per vehicle). There are quite a number of other items you can drop off as well.
Some things they will not accept include: Tires, Appliances, Agricultural waste, Truckloads of anything, Construction or business waste, Asbestos materials, Biological items - sharps, meds, scripts, Drums over five gallons of anything and there are other items that you can't drop off.

Most of us tend to purchase or collect things and use them until you no longer need or want those items but may not know the best way to get rid of them. That's what makes this event so great...and it's FREE!! Take advantage of the opportunity!
