You know the drill by now: a big star hits up a late night talk show to chat, laugh, maybe play a game, plug their latest project, and show a clip. It's a standard way to do things, but you know who doesn't care about standard ways of doing things? Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. And, really, who are we to argue with him?

The new 'Hercules' trailer is upon us and it has everything you'd want from a big summer release starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in that title role. Big battles. Bulging muscles. Mythological beasts. Screaming. Slow motion. You know, the usual.

There’s a number of reasons to be excited for the making of and release of Brett Ratner‘s ‘Hercules,’ which will star Dwayne Johnson and looks to be a go project. Some reasons for being excited about this might be meaner than others, but regardless the news today is that the film has a release date: August 8, 2014.
