Testimony Continues Today In Capital Murder Trial
ROCKWALL, Texas (AP) — An acquaintance of an ex-Texas justice of the peace accused of killing three people says the defendant earlier asked him to help dispose of some gun parts.
Testimony continues Wednesday in the Rockwall capital murder trial of Eric Williams.
Prosecutors allege Williams in 2013 fatally shot Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse (HAS'-ee), District Attorney Mike McLelland and the DA's wife, Cynthia. Williams is on trial for the woman's slaying.
Williams lost his law license and judicial job after being convicted of stealing county equipment.
David Scott Hunt testified Tuesday that Williams asked him to lunch in early 2013, complained of money problems and sought help in possibly getting rid of rifle parts.
Hunt says he told Williams not to do anything stupid.
The victims were slain weeks later.
