The Toyota Tundra has always had a reputation for being a great truck but the new 2022 edition has undergone a redesign both inside and outside and has been crowned "Truck Of Texas".

Some of the new features include new off road technology with user friendly controls for various terrain navigation. The chassis and powertrains have also been redesigned. There is a new rear suspension, towing capabilities have been improved, more horsepower, improved fuel efficiency and many more upgrades and redesigns that can be found on the all new 2022 Toyota Tundra.

The interior has also been redesigned with upgrades like a 14 inch touchscreen, a tailored cabin, a panoramic moonroof and much more.

If you're wondering where and how this award came from, the title “Truck of Texas” is awarded by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) at the annual Texas Truck Rodeo event.

To explain their credentials further, TAWA is a nonprofit association based in Texas for automotive journalists and is one of the most influential and recognized automotive journalist associates in the United States.

This year’s Texas Truck Rodeo took place in the Texas Hill Country near Austin with an off-road course. Vehicles from top manufacturers were evaluated inside and out. They considered everything from performance to value and personal appeal.

Lisa Materazzo, group vice president of Toyota Marketing said...“The 2022 Toyota Tundra is truly an all-new truck inside and out, and we’re honored that TAWA recognized all the great features the Tundra offers. The Tundra is really an American story through and through, as it is not only assembled at our manufacturing plant in San Antonio, but it was designed and developed in California and Michigan, its engines are built in Alabama and the multimedia system was developed by our Connected Technology team in Plano."
