MISSOURI CITY, Texas (AP) — An app for locating an iPad has led to a chase and five people arrested after the device was stolen from a Houston-area home.

Missouri City police on Monday caught the suspects following a chase that ended in neighboring Stafford.

A woman reported her iPad and other personal items were swiped earlier Monday in a burglary in Missouri City. The victim tracked her iPad using the Find My iPhone app, helping lead police to the device and the suspects in a nearby location.

Investigators say the five suspects drove away but crashed into another vehicle during the pursuit.

Authorities didn't immediately release arrest information on the three men and two women. A message left with Missouri City police wasn't immediately returned Tuesday.
