Traffic Stop Results in Foot Chase & Arrest

On Saturday, November 2, 2013 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Officer C. Schneider checked the license plate on a vehicle in the parking lot of Stripes at 1322 South Bryant.  The license plate check found that the vehicles registration was expired. The vehicle left the parking lot and Officer C. Schneider stopped the vehicle in the 400 block of West Avenue I.
During the traffic stop the driver provided Officer C. Schneider with a false name. Officer C. Schneider also noticed the registration sticker on the vehicle belonged to a different vehicle. The driver was then asked to step out of the vehicle. When the driver stepped out of the vehicle Officer C. Schneider noticed a plastic baggy in the vehicle with crystal like substance (substance later tested positive for methamphetamine). When Officer C. Schneider asked the driver about the substance the driver fled on foot. The driver was located in the 1200 Block of South David and was taken into custody.

Justin Adame was arrested for City Warrants, Possession of a Controlled Substance > 1gram, Fail to ID Fugitive from Justice, and Evading Arrest.  Adame was transported to jail with no further incident.
