President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday to appeal to those who may not be 100 percent on board with wearing a face mask or covering.

In a tweet, President Trump touted patriotism as the reason to wear a mask when you can't socially distance.

Critics of the president have called for him to be more outspoken about wearing a mask, a position the president hasn't always embraced. It was just a couple of weeks ago that the president was first photographed in public wearing a mask during a visit to Walter Reed Medical Center.

President Trump will host a coronavirus briefing on Tuesday where the topic of mask wearing will probably come up.
