Vehicle Crashes Into San Angelo Donut Shop, Donate to Help
On early Sunday morning, a vehicle crashed into the Express Donuts & Kolaches located at 2202 Sherwood Way.
Reports say, a gray SUV was headed westbound on Sherwood at high speeds when she lost control of her SUV. The vehicle left the road and struck the building.
21 year old Grace Sanchez, was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Obstruction or Retaliation, and Failure to Control Speed after she reportedly threatened medical personnel, and officers at the scene who were trying to perform their responsibilities.
Now that is what happened, but that's not the story.
The story is, there is a family that needs our help right now, a family who's livelihood has been damaged in what can only be described as the worst possible time.
When asked about the incident, Sokha Loft, owner of Express Donuts & Kolaches said,
“We are so blessed that this happened on Sunday while the business is closed. As a baker we go in to work right at this time, thank god no one was working during this time!"
After their business was damaged, they were only thankful for the fact that no one was hurt.
On their GoFundMe page, they say:
Normally we don’t like to ask for help but our donut shop is our main source of income for our family. Because if covid, our insurance relapsed. Anything that donates to our family will help us get thur for the time being, until we get things situated and the processes will take time. If you are unable to help with any donation small or big we appreciate it all, please share. Our family thanks you all, god bless everyone!!
If you can help in any way, it is greatly appreciated.
