If you're going to move to any of these thriving metropolises, you would best be advised to have an exterminator on speed dial.

The American Housing Survey has included some cringe-worthy data about which cities have the most cockroaches, rats and mice in homes. Bloomberg has sifted through the numbers (from 2015) and found which cities have residences where these slimy critters have managed to slither inside without having to pay for rent (or meet this kind of inglorious demise). Yeah, they're the worst houseguests since your in-laws decided to extend their visit.

Cockroaches have an affinity for the South -- the top four cities for those rodents are all in that area of the country, while rats and mice are chugging along the corridor from Washington, D.C. to Boston. Those two cities, plus New York and Philadelphia, make up the top four.
