Dollar Tree And Family Dollar Backtrack on Masks
In a quick reversal Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores have reversed their mask orders from a couple of weeks ago. Instead adding their name ever growing list of stores that require you to wear a mask no matter what state they are in, they removed it. Just a few weeks ago they required vendors, associates, and customers to wear face coverings at every store.
They are reversing and taking it as a case by case issue. If the state doesn't have a rule in place for masks, you can go in without one. That doesn't mean that they aren't doing their part to stop the spread, they still encourage you to wear a mask. They are providing all of their associates with masks, and gloves. Cleaning the over 15,000 Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Stores common surfaces continuously has to be a huge job, but that what they are doing.
They are also helping you practice social distancing with spacing marked out on the floor near registers. All of those registers have plexiglass guards installed to help shield customers and their employees from germs.
They have also started associate health screenings. This includes a self assessment for them to monitor their health two hours before every shift. The stores also have early shopping for at-risk customers.
Tap to pay has been installed at the registers, something I know my card has a chip for, but have never used, so that will be an interesting upgrade. Dollar Tree is also hiring. These are the type businesses that are thriving in the recent pandemic.
