Two Robberies, Six Years
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — A Southeast Texas man has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for pulling off two bank robberies in the same week.
A federal judge in Beaumont on Tuesday sentenced 32-year-old David Randall Terrell II of Nederland and ordered him to make about $4,400 in restitution.
Terrell in April pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery.
Prosecutors say Terrell on Jan. 14 robbed Mid-South Bank in Vidor and fled with $3,800. Investigators say Terrell on Jan. 18 held up a Compass Bank branch in Beaumont and escaped with about $600.
Security photos of the robber were released to the media and multiple people called to identify Terrell.
