
High Winds Make Their Way Back Into Odessa-Midland, Texas This Week
The Permian Basin has enjoyed some calm, warm days this week but that isn't going to last long.

Growing up in West Texas, you get used to the wind being an everyday part of your life. In just hours, the day can go from a nice day with a small breeze to watching wind carry trampolines down blocks.
Most locals know that even though a day starts calm, it can end with winds causing mayhem.
Wind Back In The Permian Basin
The start of this week has been a pleasant one. It hasn't been too cold or too hot in the Permian Basin. Through the week, the temperature will stay mild but the wind is making another grand appearance.
On Wednesday, March 12th, a small cold front hits the Basin. Temps won't be affected too much with them staying around 73 degrees, but the wind comes in strong. Winds will hit around 33 MPH.
On Thursday, March 13th, the winds will slow to about 16 MPH, and the temperatures will rise again. The high for Thursday will be in the early 80s.

Friday is a day to be worried about wind gusts. On March 14th, a cold front will hit the Basin, bringing cool temperatures and high winds. Temps will only hit a high in the early 60s.
Winds are expected to ramp up, reaching up to 40 MPH with occasional gusts over 50 MPH.
On Saturday, March 15th, the wind calms down a bit to 20 MPH, and temps stay around the early 60s.
