Permian Basin Mensa is offering a test and a seminar this Saturday.

Permian Basin Mensa will offer membership testing at the Eola Schoolhouse Main Classroom at 2:00 PM in Eola, this Saturday, January 14, 2017.

There is no need to study for the test. To take the test, you must be 14 or older. Any Mensa Candidate who has not yet reached the age of 18 will need the written permission of a parent or guardian. Parental consent forms will be available at the test site. The fee for testing is $40.00, payable in cash, check, money order, Visa, Amex, Discover, or Mastercard, or by purchase of a testing voucher on the American Mensa website. Please bring photo identification.  A score at or above the 98th percentile qualifies you for an invitation to join Mensa. The American Mensa website provides information to allow one to interpret the test score as an IQ equivalent.

Testing takes 2 hours. Walk-ins are welcome.

Mensa will host a meeting (open to the public) in San Angelo at 6:00 PM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 3 S. Randolph St.

The Speaker is Professor Loren K. Ammerman of the Department of Biology at Angelo State University. She is a widely published, and a widely recognized expert on bats, especially those bats that make Texas their home. She is the author of Bats of Texas as well as many scholarly publications.
