Officers Confiscate Illegal Slot Machines

RICHMOND, Texas (AP) — A Houston-area raid has led to the seizure of nearly 100 illegal slot machines and one arrest.  

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says the case involves illegal gambling at a game room near Richmond.

The sheriff's office on Monday didn't immediately return a message to provide additional information on the investigation. One suspect has been charged with gambling promotion.

Authorities say about 30 apparent customers were interviewed and released following Saturday night's raid. Officers confiscated 97 gaming machines, receipt books and other documentation.

Officials say further charges could be filed.
