The State of Texas is currently being sued by the Texas Bar and Nightclub Alliance.

The lawsuit was filed following the recent order by Gov. Abbott to shut down bars across the state.

According to KXAN, "In an email to members, TBNA described the governor’s decision to once again close bars as “irresponsible and shameful” and urged bar owners to violate the order by remaining open."

The Gov. made the decision to shut down certain businesses again after hospitalizations hit record numbers do to COVID-19.

“At this time, it is clear that the rise in cases is largely driven by certain types of activities, including Texans congregating in bars,” he said on Friday.

After the Gov.'s announcement, the TBNA told members that is going to file the lawsuit.

Crazy times for sure with the corona spiking back up.  At the same time businesses were already struggling and now they are shut down again.  I'm not sure how they'll survive if they have to stay closed much longer.
