Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs clinched the AFC one seed this weekend after beating the Atlanta Falcons 17-14.

The win puts the defending Super Bowl Champions at 14-1 on the season with one game remaining. The Chiefs will finish with Anthony Lynn's Los Angeles Chargers before getting a bye entering the playoffs.

In years past, it would have been the top two seeds getting a bye in the playoffs, but with the addition of the 7th team in each conference only the top seed gets the bye in 2020. Mahomes and most of the starters will likely get most of this weekend off too, if they play at all. It's not worth risking an injury in a now meaningless game for the Chiefs.

It's not meaningless for the Chargers, though. With Anthony Lynn at the helm in 2020, the Chargers were in a tail spin, finding new ways to lose each week and blowing leads in several of their losses.

The Chargers were 3-9 after losing to a bad Patriots team, 45-0. Then, they stopped losing. Since that loss, the Chargers have gone 3-0, beating the Falcons, Broncos and Raiders. Not exactly murderers' row, but that's two divisional games and big wins. If Lynn beats the Chiefs on Sunday, he might save his job, too.

Even if the Chargers win, they won't make the playoffs. What about the rest of the NFL?

The Chiefs, Bills and Steelers have all clinched their divisions. The final division will be clinched with a Titans win against the Texans, or a Colts win against Jacksonville and a Titans loss.

The AFC wildcards will be a wild ride in week 17, with the Titans/Colts, Browns and Dolphins and Ravens all vying for three final spots. The Colts have the hardest road...unless they win. The Browns' loss to the Jets last week was brutal and makes this week a must-win as well.

In the NFC, the Saints, Packers and Seahawks have clinched their divisions, and the Buccaneers have clinched a playoff Berth.

If The Washington Football team wins this weekend, they'll clinch the NFC East. If they lose, the winner of the Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants game will win the division. The loser of that game is officially eliminated.

In the NFC Wildcard race, the Rams, Bears and Cardinals are the final three teams available for the wildcard spots, with two final playoff spots. The winner between the Rams and Kliff Kingsbury's Cardinals gets in for sure. (FYI: The Rams' starting quarterback broke his thumb in a loss last week.) The Bears finish with a game in Chicago against the Packers, who need a win to clinch the NFC's bye week.
